The new capsulorhexis forceps has thin and fine blades which are suitable for the capsulorhexis through a small sub-2mm micro coaxial incision. As the diameter of the blades are smaller, there is less leakage of OVD which can keep the deep anterior chamber and thus control the capsulorhexis much easier. It is also useful for the conventional incision. The tip has a sharp point which can make the initial puncture on the anterior capsule to eliminate the use of a needle prior to the rhexis. Round edged flat handle comfortably fits on the surgeon's fingers which enables delicate control of the blades. This forceps is also suitable for making a posterior capsulorhexis.
