Narrow bladed enable easy pick up of the Acrysof single piece and three pieces IOL from the container. Tip edges are rounded and mirror polished so as to not damage the IOL. Smooth tips gently place optic in the cartridge curling towards the cartridge floor so the lens can be easily pushed by the plunger. Allows trailing haptic to be manipulated easier and decreases the incidence of inappropriate lens placement in the cartridge.
